'When Jesus was born in the village of Bethlehem in Judea, Herod was king. During this time some wise men from the east came to Jerusalem and said '"Where is the child born to be king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him" ' Matthew 2:1-2
Wise Men came to Jesus and still do
As we get closer to Christmas we are reminded of the well-known story of the wise men from the east who followed a star to find Jesus. Contrary to  popular belief, the Bible does not actually record whether there were three wise men, but it does say that they brought expensive gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to give to the new Messiah.
Just like the wise men, we also have an opportunity to come to Jesus and to bring him a valuable gift: our lives. In the same way that the wise men had a star to follow, God has given the Bible as a map to guide us to Jesus.
Join us as we look at the story of the wise men who came to worship Jesus and how we can be wise like them.
