Community Bible reading sessions
The Book of Romans
On Sunday afternoons we are holding an open Bible reading session at the Greenmeadows Centre in Stoke. Members of the public are welcome to join us as we read and discuss God’s word the Bible.
This is a relaxed and informal environment that encourages ‘back to basics’ Bible reading and where people are free to ask questions. We will have Bibles available for you to use. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided.

Prophecy Proves the Bible True
The Bible contains many different types of text. Some parts of the Bible are accounts of events that happened in history. Many of these are supported by archeology and other historical records.
Some parts of the Bible are poetry and proverbs. These are used to teach the reader about wisdom and give instruction on spiritual growth.
And some parts of the Bible are prophecy. These are records that foretell events that will happen in the future. Sometimes they are straightforward and clearly explained, sometimes they are literal and they may use extensive metaphors. Many prophecies have more than one application - they may have been relevant to the time that the prophet lived in, and they may have had a future application as well.
Join us as we consider some of the prophecies in the Bible that have accurately foretold future events, and have proved that the Bible is truly the word of God.

This Is Your Bible offers free online courses to anyone interested in studying the Bible for themselves. Register and you will be assigned a personal tutor who will help you with your studies and be ready to respond to your questions and comments.
